It seems like Blacks and Browns are the only ones who resist arrest in this town. I say this because we're the only ones dying in the process. I would like to be shocked by this kind of news, but in the 5 years I've lived here, I've come to expect at least 1 minority death at the hands of the APD per year. This one makes #2 this year. Somethin' ain't right.
I don't think APD is out to kill anybody, but it's quite peculiar that when someone dies in their custody they just so happen to not be white. I don't think it's ever going to change. And that's fugged up.
