So I flashed my neighbor.

When neighbors stop by unannounced, most likely I'm not wearing pants.

Usually I don't answer the door, but yesterday I knew it was our neighbor, a small Indian man, who had watched the house for us while we were away for the week. I heard him roll our trash can up the driveway and had hoped he would just walk away, but he knocked.

I thought about pretending not to be home, but Zack started laughing hysterically at something and I'm sure the neighbor heard him. So I grabbed the first pair of pants I could find, threw them on, picked Zack up off the floor and answered the door. I thanked my neighbor for watching the house and answered his questions about how the trip had gone. I noticed that he was acting all weird and shifty--nodding excessively, half-smiling and hardly blinking. He looked strange and uncomfortable. I was having a cute day, so I thought that maybe he thought I looked cute too and could hardly contain himself maybe?

So after I stepped back inside the house holding Zack I stopped by the entry hall mirror to check myself out and realized that the scrubs I threw on hadn't actually made it all the way on. Somewhere between my bedroom and the front door, the pants had dropped to my hips exposing all but the crotch of my pink, red and purple striped underwear.

I'd find it hard to exchange pleasantries with someone flashing undergarments. Why didn't he just say something?
